We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Nuetech Companies Inc. and the Rocky Mountain ATV*MC/KR4/Husqvarna Team for 2017-2018 season.

Neutech is in the business of traction and providing a flat proof system that simply works is just what they do!  The Inventors of the famous Tubliss system, have developed the Nitro Mousse, that will work for all riding conditions.  Nitro Mousse combines a high concentration of nitrogen into an micro-matrix of proprietary elastomers that is claimed to be very tough and out last the other Mousse on the market. These elostomers are formed into a tube shaped, foam feeling ring that is installed into the tire and mounted on the rim with or without special tools. Nuetech claims the durability is up to double the life of other mousse options and is 100% flat-free.

KR4 Team Will Be Running The Nitro Mousse in Our Husqvarna Motorcycles

Nuetech have put more than a decade of research and development into improving the less than desirable aspects of a mousse.

Nitro mousse combines a high concentration of nitrogen into an incredibly tough micro-matrix of proprietary elastomers. This eliminates the dead feel and provides a much more lively, lighter and traction enhanced feel from the very first ride, as they do not need a break in period. Additionally, our proprietary formula and manufacturing process provides a mousse that will last up to twice as long at a much lower cost.

"The Nitro Mousse was developed over years of extensive research and development in the toughest conditions possible. Whether it be in 30 degree single track, 115 + degree high speed test sessions and everything in between, we didn't stop until the compound was right. The Nitro Mousses high concentration of nitrogen and blend of proprietary elastomers allow them to be incredibly tough while providing a lively, progressive and traction enhanced feel. The Nitro Mousse has been race tested in various off road disciplines by top professional riders and continues to prove that they are the longest lasting best performing mousse available" --Joe Wichert, Nuetech LLC. KR4 Team Owner Frank Keegan with XC3 Pro Hunter Neuwirth

"We are excited to work with the Nitro Mousse team this year.  Over the past two months we have tested the different compounds and sizes with some of our pro riders and the results were great and we’re delighted that they’ve chosen to team up with us.” -- Frank Keegan

EXPLAINATION: A “Mousse” – (“mousse” is French for foam), simply put is just a solid foam inner tube. They were originally introduced to the off road motorcycle market in 1984 by the French tire company Michelin. There are several companies over the years that have created different formulations of a mousse, however the composition and nature of the foam can have a huge impact on performance and longevity, so not all mousses are equal.

PROS AND CONS: In general a mousse is known to do one thing very well, NOT go flat. However they are also known to have several downsides, such as having a slow rebounding or non-progressive effect in their ride-ability. In the industry, this is often referred to as a “DEAD” feel. This loose or unstable feeling can affect the motorcycles handling and traction applications and unfortunately you just have to live with it because they are not adjustable (Like pneumatic systems or inner tubes), other than that they do adjust themselves as they diminish and wear. Being a solid foam unit, mousses are generally heavier than most tubes, and the dead feeling only contributes to this effect and feel. Other negatives can be their short life span, made worse by their high cost (Nitromousse is a big improvement compared to past mousses).
